Alpha 0.22 Patch Notes - Get Your Stories Out Of My Game
This updates focuses on two things in particular. The whole tooltip system has been reworked, instead of floating with the cursor they now just get displayed on the right of the screen. It has also been split into two distinct purposes. "Tooltips" are now for explaining something and how to thing about it. "Cues" is a new field added that gives suggestions and ideas for how to think about the prompt.
Also a new option has been added to the Main Menu, allowing you to go into a new Prompt Generator menu where you can create Story Object cards without going through an actual story. It's just a way to roll up traits on a Hero, Ally, Setting etc. Here's an example of how it works:
Looking forward, I'm going to be taking part in Wizard Jam 7, a game jam with the Idle Thumbs podcast network community. My plan is to basically make a new version of this game that creates prompts for writing your own Important If True podcast episode. This means writing a new JSON file of prompts, passages etc. but I'll also be expanding the core game to be more adaptable to different structures rather than hardcoding it be stuck to the Hero, Quest etc. archetype.
Tooltips: 36 remaining out of 405

The Future:
